WOW can you believe it? Gwen Lea actually online blogging! After much hesitation, not sure if I could figure it out I did it!

IMPORTANT RAMBLINGS

WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING

As many of you know, I am always searching for more education! I do this by attending seminars, meetings with other photographers for playdates and my daily contact with some of the most outstanding photographers in the country. It always energizes me and I love putting all my new knowledge into action.

JULY

This month is no exception on the fun I have with other photographers. To many, going to Wamego Kansas isn't that exciting but I had a great time! I stayed and played with 3 other photographers. We had models that had their hair and make-up done professionally just for us. What a fun time!

Did you know that Wamego has the largest Wizard of Oz collection in the world? I know...I didn't realize this either. They have a great little museum and some really cool fun shops. You really should check it out sometime.

JUNE

What an exciting month!!!!!!! I think this was by far one of my favorites of all times. Angela Deville, http://www.capturedmomentsla.com/ came to stay with me for a full week. I learned so much from her and was totally inspired. Angela is not just talented but also beautiful, inside & out!

Also in June, I had the opportunity to attend school with two total rockstar photographers! Jen Hillenga, www.momento.com and Rod Evans, www.evans.com taught at the Kansas Professional Photographers annual school. I was lucky enough to be the only Professional Photographer from Wichita in the class! They totally rocked out and inspired me beyond my wildest beliefs.

What made the week reach an unexpected peak was that Jen stayed with me in my home one night and provided me with some personal one on one training. This was an opportunity that most photographers could only dream about. Jen also took some images of me with my new one of a kind background. I can not wait to share those with you!

So are you wondering about this new one of a kind background??? Well here is a quick sneak peak...more to come. This background is like no others found in Wichita or any where for that matter. It was created by one of the Kansas instructions, John Burroughs and amazing foamoligist from Fresno, CA.

I drove to Illinois to work and play with 20 amazing photographers from all over the US. We had an amazing time and I learned so much and met some wonderful new friends. Here are just a couple of my favorite shots from this weekend.
